Matching template signature and template implementation
I am trying to implement a generic function template to mirror std::tuple_element. It takes a class template, a class type, and a callable method. It should return either the component at a specific position in the tuple or the default-constructed value of the component at that position. I have tested it with a tuple of double values and an int as the component type. It should work for either rvalue reference or lvalue reference parameters, but not const. When I compile the following code, I get a compilation error:
'const void *' is not a literal type
(meaning that a temporary object was created instead of calling the method). It works fine with double, so I think that I have the algorithm wrong. Here's the code: #include #include #include
namespace detail { template T& get(const std::tuple &tuple, std::size_t index, callable f) { return f(std::get(tuple)); }
